Jennifer Hard
Jenn has 25 years experience as a Probation Officer at the Butte County Probation Department, where she helped clients change their lives for the better and get out of the criminal justice system for good. Jenn spent the last 7 years of her career as a Probation Department Program Manager, overseeing the coordination and delivery of therapeutic programs for special populations including teens, veterans, families, and individuals with substance use disorders. In the trying times resulting from the Camp Fire, Oroville Dam evacuations, and COVID-19 pandemic, Jenn led her organization in seeing to the overall wellness of the Probation Department and the specific needs of its employees and clients. She was integral to the initiation of the peer support program at the Probation Department, which inspired her to take on more in-depth training with a master-level certification in the Transformational Coaching Method and as a Reiki Practitioner. Jenn coached line staff and administrators on how to take small, manageable steps in self-care to gain impactful results in their mental and physical health. Through her experiences helping her colleagues with their stress and life balance, Jenn realized the role burnout was playing in her own life, professionally and personally. She retired early to pursue better health and more time with her family. Now, in her retirement, Jenn is devoted full-time to helping busy over-achievers manage their stress and avoid burnout so they can continue to do their jobs effectively while also feeling at peace. Jenn is passionate about discovering new ways to bring joy into her life and guides her clients in doing the same.
